What You Need To Know When You Adopt a Webkinz Virtual Pet

1 September 2009 No Comment

Are you looking into letting your child adopt a Webkinz virtual pet? If so, you might want to know how they can begin the process. You also may want to know how the whole process of adopting works as well. If this is so, please continue on reading.

The first thing you need to do is purchase a Webkinz plush toy, this will allow you to adopt the virtual pet counter part online on their Webkinz website. You cannot access the website withou the plus toy. Why is this? Because on the plush toys there is a tag that has a secret Webkinz codes. If you do get a Webkinz toy and it does not come with a secret code, you need to take it back to the retailer. It is there duty to give you a code. Do not ever lose this secret code, most of the time you cannot get back in without it.

You need to be cautious when buying Webkins plush toys that have been used in the past. They can be incredibly cheap when you find one online, but they may not work when you go to get your online pet. The secret code on the Webkinz plus can only be used one time.

You need to create an account to begin the online adoption process. You child will probably need help on this part of the adoption. You need to create a user name as well as a password. You need to ensure they are easy to remember yet still not something easily guessed. It would be smart to write down the info and store it safely. You need to also hold onto the Webkinz secret code. If something arises, such as your child forgetting the password or they wish to change the password, the secret code will be needed to continue.

The nice thing that comes with the Webkinz internet site is a child can have many more than one simple pet. You can actually adopt a whole plethora of pets. The company ‘Ganz’ suggests though having no more than 100 Webkinz pets on one single account. You should create a new account if you want to have more than 100. You should keep in mind that it will be very hard to care for such a large number of online pets. And once again, the Webkinz secret code can only be used a single time. You need to buy more plush animals in order to get more codes to get more pets.

After you have completed the whole adoption process, you can have your child name the pet and then decide it’s gender. Also you will see 2000 KinzCash added to their account. You will also get a Webkinz guide at this point. You should go over this guide to help them understand how Webkinz work and how they can take care of their pets. You can get more Kinzcash by playing the games that are online, this will be covered in the guide.

A Webkinz secret code will run out after a single year. Afterward there is a two week grace period that still allows you to use the account. But once it is up the account will be closed. Each user will have up to thirty days to get a new code before their account is lost, this can mean a loss of a very large amount of KinzCash.
